Nephrology portal Primary care Lab report on paper Home cuff one current history updated as new records arrive

Kidney care moves slowly, and the numbers are scattered

Your eGFR is in one portal and your uACR in another. Your nephrologist orders one set of labs and your primary care doctor orders another. Your home blood pressure lives on a cuff or in an app.

So each visit starts with the same question: what was it last time? Keeping your own spreadsheet works until a result arrives on paper, or from a lab you didn't expect.

  • eGFR and creatininethe nephrology portal
  • uACRa different lab's report
  • Blood pressurea cuff, a notebook, an app
  • Medicationsthree pharmacies' worth of labels

Four steps, then it keeps itself current

  1. First

    Start your trial

Start the 7-day free trial and say who the profile is for: you, or someone you look after, such as a parent.

  2. Then

    Verify, sign, meet a clinician

Confirm your identity and address, sign the consent forms, and book an intake visit with a clinician, who signs the records request with you.

  3. Next

    Your records come to you

Triangle requests them through the national health-record networks, Carequality and TEFCA. Upload anything they miss, such as a paper result or a disc, and connect a Withings cuff if you use one.

  4. From then on

Follow the lines, ask the questions

Each lab becomes a result you can follow over time, explained in plain language. Ask about any of it in a chat that knows your history.

Your history updates as new records arrive. Basin shows what may be missing and helps you request it.

Seven results from two practices, on one line

Results from your nephrologist and your primary care doctor land in one history, in date order. Read what each one means, and ask what has changed since a new medicine before you're in the exam room.

The numbers, dates and medication here are made up.

eGFRmL/min/1.73m² · Feb 2024 to Sep 2026
lisinopril started 55535450525151 Feb 24Aug 24Jan 25Jun 25Nov 25Apr 26Sep 26 uACR, mg/g, same dates 48415238353331

In plain words: eGFR is an estimate of how well your kidneys filter, calculated from a blood test. Yours has stayed between 50 and 55 across seven results.

Has anything changed since I started lisinopril?

Basin

Your records show lisinopril 10 mg starting in June 2025. Your eGFR results before that were 55, 53 and 54, and since then 50, 52, 51 and 51. Your uACR went from 52 to 31 mg/g over the same time.

What those changes mean for you is a good question for your nephrologist.

What changes when it all lives in one place

You see which way it's moving

eGFR, creatinine and uACR from different practices become results you can follow across years, each explained in plain language.

Blood pressure sits beside them

Readings from your visits and from a connected Withings cuff sit next to your labs. Set a reminder in plain words: "Remind me every morning at 8 to take my blood pressure."

You stop retelling your medicines

Your medication list, built from your records, including pharmacy fills when the records contain them.

Questions get answered from your file

A chat that answers from your own records. A second check reviews each answer against the evidence before you rely on it.

A clinician reads your history

Membership includes a review of your medical history by a licensed clinician.

Your own assistant

Let Claude or ChatGPT read your kidney history

If you already use an AI assistant, connect it to Basin. With your permission it reads your labs, blood pressure readings, medications, notes and the summary of your history. If you also allow writing, it can add notes or set reminders for you.

It works only with what's in Triangle, and it can't change anything at a hospital or clinic.

Ask it things like

How has my eGFR moved over the last two years?

Which of my results came from my nephrologist, and which from primary care?

Make a one-page list of my kidney labs and blood pressure for my next visit.

Once connected, what your assistant reads is handled under its own privacy policy, which Triangle doesn't control. Connect only one you trust.

Disconnect any time in Triangle under Settings → AI service connections, and access stops immediately. Only the person whose profile it is can connect an assistant, so if you run a profile for a parent, they connect their own.

Questions

What does it cost?

Basin starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card when you start; cancel before day 7 and you're not charged. After that it's $9 a month, and you can cancel any month; your records stay yours. The membership covers Triangle requesting your records from hospitals and clinics and keeping them updated as new ones arrive, chat anytime with the assistant that answers from your own records, a review of your medical history by a licensed clinician, connecting wearables such as a blood pressure cuff, and uploading anything else you have.

What does setup ask of me?

After you start the trial: a few details, an identity check and confirming your address, choosing who can see the profile, signing the consent forms, and booking an intake visit with a clinician. Then Triangle requests your records, and you can upload anything else you have.

Will my nephrologist's records come through?

Triangle requests records through the national health-record networks, Carequality and TEFCA. Not every practice or lab can be reached that way, so Basin shows what may be missing and helps you request it, and you can upload results yourself: PDFs, photos of paper reports, discs or faxes.

Will Basin tell me my stage, or what to do?

No. Triangle does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and it doesn't replace your kidney doctor. Basin shows what your records say and how your numbers have moved, so you can talk it through with your care team.

Can I connect my blood pressure cuff?

Yes. You can connect devices and services including Withings, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura and Samsung Health, and their readings sit next to your records. Blood pressure measured at your appointments shows up whenever it's in your records.

Who runs Basin, and who sees my records?

Basin is made by Triangle. Your account is a Triangle account, under Triangle's privacy policy and terms. You choose who can see your profile, such as family or a doctor, and who can help manage it. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising.
